A direct way to get online

You work with the person doing the work.

I’m Keith, a freelance digital specialist with more than a decade of experience building, improving and managing websites. I combine clear design with the practical thinking that helps a website earn its place in a business.

There’s no agency hand-off or account-manager layer. From the first conversation through to launch, you deal directly with me—and if you choose ongoing support, I’ll still be the person who knows how your site works.

I’ve built everything from single-page WordPress websites to WooCommerce stores transacting more than £3m a year. That range is exactly why I use WordPress: it is flexible enough to start simply, then grow into eCommerce, booking flows, integrations or bespoke features when you need them.

Pay monthly, stay supported

Hosting and care, handled for you.

The monthly options are for businesses that would rather have someone keep an eye on the website than manage hosting and maintenance themselves.

What I keep an eye on

  • Managed website hosting
  • WordPress, theme and plugin updates
  • Security checks and off-site backups
  • Direct help and small changes within the agreed allowance

* At the end of the term: you own the completed website outright and can choose your own hosting or continue with support.

When your website needs to do more

Built for the parts of your business that happen behind the scenes.

Sometimes a standard website is all you need. Other times, it needs to connect to the tools you already rely on, save your team time or make it easier for customers to take the next step.

I can plan and build custom integrations, eCommerce, booking systems, payment journeys, CRM and email systems, live chat, member areas, customer portals and bespoke software features. Those pieces are scoped and quoted separately, so you only invest in what makes sense for your business.

Why WordPress?

Built on a platform that has been proving itself since 2003.

WordPress is the software that runs a website and gives you a straightforward way to edit pages, publish news and add content without rebuilding the site from scratch.

It has a huge global community of designers and developers, plus a well-established ecosystem. With more than 70,000 plugins available, many common needs—from bookings and eCommerce to memberships, email and CRM connections—can be built on a proven foundation rather than from scratch.

That gives a small-business site today room to become an eCommerce, booking or member platform later.

A clear project journey

More than a build process.

Six meaningful stages, split between planning and delivery, with clearer expectations around scope, content, feedback and handover.

01

First conversation

We talk through your business, your customers, what isn’t working now and what the website needs to achieve.

02

Project outline

I turn that conversation into a clear scope, budget and next steps—so there are no surprises about what is included.

03

Structure & content

We agree the pages, messages and information your visitors need. I’ll flag where copy, images or other material is needed.

04

Creative direction

I shape the visual direction and page layouts around your brand, your customers and the decisions you want them to make.

05

Build & refine

I build the working WordPress site and test it properly. You review it at a sensible point, with feedback focused on what matters.

06

Launch & handover

Once everything is checked, we launch. You receive a clear handover with the key details you need to look after the site going forward.

Throughout the project: you deal directly with me. You’ll know when your input is needed, what I’m working on and what happens next.

Questions & answers

Useful things to know before we start.

Will I own my website?

Yes. With a one-off build, the website is yours when it is complete. With a Website Partnership, you own the completed website outright at the end of the 24-month minimum term. Subscription website services such as Wix, Squarespace and Yell keep your site tied to their platform, so you keep paying while you use it and cannot simply take the underlying website elsewhere.

How many pages are included?

The Small Business Website includes up to five core pages. Custom websites are scoped around what you need, so the number and type of pages are agreed clearly before work starts.

What does the monthly option include?

It includes managed hosting, WordPress, theme and plugin updates, security checks, off-site backups, plus direct help and small changes within the agreed allowance. It follows the same practical approach as my WordPress maintenance plans.

What happens after the 24-month minimum term?

The completed website is yours outright. You can move it to your own hosting, continue with a WordPress support plan, or we can agree the right ongoing arrangement for your site.

Can I choose my own hosting?

Absolutely. With a one-off build, you are free to host your website wherever you prefer. If you’d rather not manage it yourself, you can choose a separate WordPress support plan or a monthly Website Partnership.

Can you help with copy, images and SEO?

Yes. We can discuss what you already have and what needs creating. I’ll make sure the website has sound on-page SEO foundations; copy and any specialist work can be included in the project scope where needed.

Can you add a shop, booking system or custom integration?

Yes. eCommerce, booking systems, CRM and email integrations, live chat, bespoke software and other custom functionality are scoped and quoted separately. We’ll first work out what is actually needed, then agree a clear cost and plan.

How long does a website project take?

Smaller websites are generally completed within a few weeks—and, with a very clear brief and everything needed to hand, sometimes in just a few days. Larger or more involved projects take longer; I’ll set out a realistic plan before we begin.

Can you improve an existing website?

Yes. If a complete rebuild isn’t the right answer, I can review an existing WordPress website and recommend practical improvements to its design, content, performance or functionality.
